The APHVO team had been thinking about setting up a volunteer program for some time. In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and the vulnerability it imposes, we see the urgency of this need. That is why the APHVO will be hiring a project manager in the summer of 2021. This person will assist Ms. Patricia-Anne Grant, administrator on the board of directors and Ms. Manon Major, community officer, who will oversee the program.
Our members need help, whether it be for daily activities (shopping, reading mail, income tax return, etc.), cultural support, for sports or leisure activities, or simply to break the isolation through conversation.
The APHVO is committed to this project and will keep its members informed of its progress.
